THE FIRST HYDROGEN TRAIN IN ITALY UNVEILED WITH NATIONAL PREVIEW AND OTHER INNOVATIONS ON DISPLAY IN THE EXCLUSIVE OUTDOOR AREA OF FIORENZA TRENORD

Innovation and technology will be the focus topics of the exhibition

With less than a month to go until EXPO Ferroviaria 2023 opens on 3^rd October at Rho Fiera Milano, the organiser, in collaboration with Trenord, has announced the latest news of this edition: the Outdoor Area of Fiorenza Trenord, which will host innovations from the latest generation rolling stock.

On the Outdoor Area tracks, ALSTOM Ferroviaria and FNM will present the first hydrogen train for Italy. Designed and built for Ferrovie Nord Milano on the manufacturing site of Alstom in Italy, the train is based on the regional railway model of Coradia Stream. Alstom will also showcase Traxx DC3, a latest generation high-power electric locomotive, that maximises energy efficiency, reduces maintenance interventions and provides additional charge and traction capacity with less energy consumption. Moreover, ELEN Ing. De Rossi will present the newest electric locomotive, E-L0, an innovative green vehicle for the maintenance of railway lines.

EXPO Ferroviaria, the biennial International Exhibition of Railway Technology, Products and Systems, will be held from 3 to 5 October 2023 in hall 9 at Rho Fiera Milano, with over 270 exhibiting companies, including major key players within the national and international market. The event presents the opportunity to discuss the latest trends and topics via an intense programme of conferences and exhibitors’ presentations. For this edition, the trade show also boasts new spaces dedicated to complementary technologies with the Aerospace Technology Hub and the Tunnelling Area.
