Torrent Trackside provides high quality services to the railway maintenance and renewal contractors in the UK. Torrent help our customers achieve the optimum levels of safety by providing plant, equipment and associated services to the highest of standards. As well as rail specific portable plant, Torrent also provide trackside lighting, traffic management, and Asset Management Services to our customer base.

Asset Management
Torrent Trackside prides itself on maintaining our own assets to the highest and most exacting standards. Because of this expertise, customers asked if Torrent could maintain and repair their owned fleets of rail specific small plant and on track plant.

Torrent Trackside now provides asset management services to a wide variety of customers. This service involves the planning and delivery of maintenance regimes, the emergency repair of damaged or faulty equipment and product certification services. With over 50 Mobile Engineers on the road across the UK we can keep you up and running 24 hours a day 365 days a year, peace of mind is guaranteed. Our highly specified services vehicle are equipped with the latest tooling and testing equipment and for repairs of equipment that cannot be done on site our extensive Depot network is there to support you.

Operated Plant
Torrent Trackside are the specialists in Operator Supplied Plant Hire. Our experienced personnel maintain and operate this range of equipment throughout the year; nobody understands it better than them.

Our operated plant hire service provides significant benefits over traditional plant hire practices and our customers see significant productivity gains and cost reductions. When you hire an Operator with a machine from Torrent not only do you get an expert in the operation of the machines you also get someone that can carry out on the job repairs should the machine fail, by combining these two benefits you will experience maximum uptime and therefore an increase in productivity.
Torrent Trackside are the experts in the design and installation of trackside and tunnel lighting. With safety being the main priority on track our lighting systems are designed and installed to ensure that poor visibility isn’t a contributory factor in accidents.

Trackside Lighting
Our experienced Lighting Supervisors control the contract from start to finish, the process starts with a site walk which enables Torrent Trackside to design the best lighting solution for the site. All Torrent Trackside lighting installations are fully detailed in our Lighting Method Statement that is supplied to our customers prior to installation for sign off that we have understood their requirement and designed a solution that is compliant.
