The Vehicle Control Unit (VCU) plays a key role in the management and control of rail vehicles. HaslerRail offers a complete range of on-board devices for a variety of applications.

HaslerRail’s RaPLC-ETH2 compact PLC processes and transmits data between MVB, ETH, and, optionally, serial buses, ensuring flexible, reliable communication with on-board automation logic.

With its different types of interfaces, RaPLC is extremely versatile and is flexible enough to be integrated with other major on-board systems.

A powerful, built-in IEC 61131 SW tool makes implementing the features needed to build on-board automation logic (train and/or vehicle), diagnostics, and plant management simple.

Saira PRISMA® IDE Soft PLC software lets system integrators build customized applications to meet the requirements of the end solution. Soft PLC can access all RaPLC communication interfaces, such as MVB bus, Ethernet, and serial interfaces. The Ethernet interface can support railway protocols such as IPTCom, CIP, and TRDP, as well as customer-defined TCP/IP based protocols.

The RaPLC-ETH2 enclosure is suitable for 3U standard rack mounting; customized solutions are also available.
