HaslerRail’s compact Hall effect sensor series is ideal for when space for a speed sensor is limited. The sensors can be installed in a variety of locations, including on the gear box, where they pick up the speed signal from the gear teeth.

Our Hall effect speed sensor with push-pull outputs is backed by a long service history. The sensor output pulses on detection of a toothed target wheel down to zero speed.

An optional two-channel output is also available with phase-displaced outputs to determine the train’s direction.
