World Rail Festival 2020

The World Rail Festival is a unique event attracting global public transport operators to discuss the transformative era of transport and mobility. Over 1,200 attendees will join us in 2020, to be inspired by 250 speakers over 3 incredible days.

The Rail & Public Transport industry is undergoing a comprehensive transformation, with many factors demanding fundamental change across many functions within the rail industry, both digitally and commercially.

Across the world, rail is facing fierce competition from low cost airlines, long distance bus operators and ease of private cars.

In Europe, additional pressure is being felt from the implementation of the EU’s fourth railway package, namely: liberalisation of the railway sector.

Competition in all these forms is putting pressure on the rail industry to meet customer expectations, compete effectively on price and efficiency and convince travellers that rail and public transport more widely is the best choice.
